Flower poem (that rhymes)

September 27, 2008

apparently the poem was supposed to rhyme.

Flowers have many petals

and a man has many loves

I don’t care about any others

just you, my little dove

flower poem

September 27, 2008

a poem  about “a flower”

I pulled the petals,

one by one,

Until the love of a girl

Was verified, scientifically

And then I thought

How much nicer it would be

To have that flower back

cold

September 14, 2008

Challenge: a poem about colds, that doesn’t contain cold, sick, unwell, or feel

There are bits of my body

That want out,

They want out, Now!

And they will not wait to ask

They wish a welcome death, on the outside.

I wish to live, to breath, to have balance

I wish to be able to be outside again,

Let us both have our fondest wishes fulfilled

Until the kleenex is gone and life returns

Poetry Challenge

September 4, 2008

Not a big fan of poetry?  That’s okay, I completely understand that.  I don’t need you to like it right now, I just need a topic, any topic will do.  If you want, you can also give me a style (please, no iambic pentameter, I just can’t).  This is a challenge for me, to write the poems as fast as possible, and a challenge for you, to give me a topic that stumps me.

Here’s a simple one i wrote in an IM, with the topic given as “ocean waves”

it’s so calming

elevating and decending, in perfect harmony,

always there

beckoning and singing to me, endlessly,

on the beach

i feel the power and the care, of life in movement
